It’s Time For A Sports Clock!
Sports are more and more a part of our lives, either with our children, or a favorite team or athlete. If you know someone who is really into a sport, has a den or man cave or retreat that’s all theirs, it’s time for a sports clock! It’s a thoughtful gift to keep them on time, but more than that it reflects their love of the sport they enjoy. They’ll feel good about your gift whenever they check the time.
A Sports Wall Clock is a beautiful thing! At least it is to someone who loves sports and in particular, a specific sport, like baseball, football, soccer, basketball, golf, swimming, etc. Give a gift that shows you took the time to look for something that fits their interests. A gift of a sport wall clock is a joy and surprise for them to unwrap. Whether it’s a birthday, holiday or a “just because I feel like it” present, you’ve made an awesome gift choice and a sports fan extremely happy.
Clock Accuracy is a Must. Change Batteries Often.
Most wall clocks these days run on batteries, usually one or two AA batteries. The batteries last for a long time, but in order to make sure your clock is not running slow (resulting in missing the first part of the game), you must replace them regularly. The best way to do this is to set up a schedule for yourself on your calendar…just plug in “Change Clock Batteries,” about every 3 months or so. You can still use those batteries you removed in another application whose accuracy isn’t so crucial. But you will know your sports clock is accurate, and that’s a biggie to a sports fan.
Don’t Forget Clock Settings Twice A Year
Twice a year, we set our clocks either forward or backward so that we have more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings. I’ve often wondered why this is considered a good thing. When my kids were little, we’d get up in the dark and then I couldn’t get them to go to bed at 9PM when it was still daylight. I’m sure there are mothers and dads who still wonder the same thing. Since I’ve grown up, I’ve heard some people say it’s so sports can be played longer during the day. I’m not sure that’s the entire reason, but it sounds reasonable. I guess I don’t have to like it, but our world runs on it, so in order to be on time for anything, I must know what time it is and which time is currently in use.
Basketball has legions of fans across the nation. Watching a fast action basketball game, nobody wants to miss a single move, ’cause it might be the one that signals the possible outcome of the game. That’s why fans feel it’s important to be viewing from the start, whether from the sidelines or the TV set. So give the gift of time, that they can be sure to watch from the beginning.
Give The Gift of Time for YOUR Sports Fan
One of the first things any sports fan asks is “What time is the game/play/match/meet?” depending on the sport they’re speaking about. They can always know if they’re on time or running late just by glancing at their favorite sport clock. If you’re lucky enough to attend the actual game, you’ll need to keep your eye on the clock and leave in enough time to get a parking space. If it’s the TV you’ll be viewing, you don’t want to miss the first play.
Soccer Fan? This one’s for YOU!
Golfers Love To Visualize
Golfers will love looking at this clock while visualizing a hole in one on their next game. As any golfer will tell you, visualization is a big part of the game of golf. Your swing is another big part. Every time you check the time of day, you can use that prompt to visualize your best swing on the course of your choice. Hey, other things have helped, why not this?
Don’t Miss The First Pitch!
Baseball season can’t begin soon enough for die-hard fans. Are you one of them? Don’t be late for the game, ’cause you’ll miss the drama of the start and who gets the bluff on who. Oftentimes baseball games are won or lost in the first few minutes. Keep your baseball clock ticking along and you’ll always be there for the first pitch!
All Swimmers In The Pool!
Swimmers need to be on time for the meet, give them a clock that will insure they make it when the shotclock goes off. Time for a sports clock so all swimmers are in the pool at the same time.
Okay Football Fans, First Down!
You can’t miss the kickoff of the big game! Not only that, but if you and/or your favorite fellow attend the game, you’ll want to make sure you leave in plenty of time to get parked and get to your seat before that kickoff. And here’s the perfect wall clock for it!
Nascar Fans, Here’s the Checkered Flag!
If you’re a fan of Nascar racing, or you love someone who is, what a great gift this clock would make for a man cave, garage, or den. For that matter, the ladies love Nascar too, so this might be just right down her “alley,” hanging on her kitchen wall.
