Thanksgiving Table Decorations
Sometimes I feel that Thanksgiving gets the “short end of the stick” when it comes to recognition and decorations. I think the reason for that is that Christmas comes so quickly on its heels, that we feel it’s too much to decorate for both things. But decorating can be easy if you’re smart about it and buy the things that take no “doing” on your part. After all, Thanksgiving is a day for gathering together and giving thanks for one another and our blessings. So it should be recognized in the best way possible. I’ve found a few decorations that you may like, and they require no work. Just put them on the table on the big day, and you’re done!
First of all, let’s consider centerpieces for the table. For Thanksgiving dinner, many of us invite guests other than our immediate family. Whether they are friends or family, it’s fun to entertain them with the season’s symbols such as, Fall leaves, pumpkins, gourds, ornamental corn. Here are a few I think would look nice on the table, but keep in mind that you don’t want the centerpiece so high that you can’t see over it to talk to those at the table. A low-based centerpiece adds festivity and color and still makes it possible for you to see the person you’re talking to.
Other table decorations
Other ways to decorate are with Autumn or Thanksgiving themed plates, napkins, tablecloths, place settings, and silverware holders. You can coordinate and use several items, or just one or two, however it suits you! Thanksgiving is an important holiday and should be recognized as such. It brings family and friends together as a time to be thankful for our loved ones, and the blessings we have in our lives. Here are a few things, besides the presence of those you love, that can brighten your Thanksgiving table.
